Nisa is a trained and qualified creative therapist and Head of Racial Justice and Equity at a UK mental health charity, working within policy, practice, and lived experience. She is one of the key contributors to The Black Mental Health Manifesto, helping to shape a collective vision for racially just mental health systems rooted in accountability and care. Her work focuses on turning commitments into meaningful change, particularly for communities most impacted by structural inequality. Nisa believes that the people closest to the problem are also closest to the solutions, and that lasting impact is created when power, resources, and decision making are shared.
Alongside her leadership and therapeutic practice, she is an artist whose work explores migration, belonging, and diaspora experiences. She brings a grounded, honest perspective to conversations about equity, focused on what it really takes to move from policy to impact.
